Amy to join the police

Having secured one A* grade and two A grades in Drama, Politics and Psychology, Amy B leaves Reigate Grammar School to pursue a career in the police. Amy is excited about her future job prospects. She has been considering policing for a long time, but really set her mind on it during her Lower Sixth year, with the forensics module of her Psychology A Level course cementing her interest. Amy is already at the third stage of a four- or five-part process of application to the Metropolitan Police to become a Police Constable, preferably in the Lambeth area of London.

About her time at RGS, Amy said:

“I really enjoyed the relationships I had with my teachers in the Sixth Form. I am a big advocate of creative subjects at A Level – Drama has given me so much additional confidence in public speaking and presenting myself and I also enjoyed being involved behind the scenes with the technical aspects of productions. The Careers team were very helpful when I told them that I didn’t want to go to university, and Mr Buzzacott helped me make some useful contacts within the police which will serve me very well.”
