Rory named Reigate and Banstead Young Sports Person of the Year

Congratulations to Rory C who was recently named Young Sports Person of the Year in the Reigate and Banstead Sports Awards.

Rory plays squash at Reigate Squash Club and also plays for Scotland and Surrey, competing regularly on the European squash circuit. Rory was nominated by his club for the award for being a strong role model, achieving success and maintaining a positive approach during the restrictions for Covid.

Rory was also part of the Scotland Squash U19 team for the Home Internationals Squash Strength and Conditioning online event which ran from 5-7 March. The event was led by an Irish former world top 10 player, with the four home nations all being represented. The Scotland team finished the weekend in 2nd place with Wales taking the win.
