Open Day Events 2021/22

We would be delighted to welcome you to one of our Working Open Mornings held throughout the year. If you’d like to register your interest in these events, please click on the relevant below link.

Our Working Open Morning means the school is in usual working order and you will have the opportunity to see lessons in action. On arrival to our Working Open Morning, you will hear talks from the Headmaster, Assistant Head and some of our current students. Following this, you will have a tour of the school with existing RGS students and have the opportunity to talk to the Headmaster and colleagues over coffee.

Depending on whether you have visited us before, previously registered interest for your child or have a child at RGS already, the process for signing up to a virtual event, open morning or tour will be different.

If you already have a child at RGS or have previously applied, enquired or registered interest to RGS, you will already have an online admissions account and should Click here to sign into your account.  Once you have logged into your account, to add another child, click ‘Add New Applicant > Submit a New Enquiry’. This will allow you add your new child to your online account where you can proceed with registering for an event, tour or submitting an application.

Virtual live Q&A events for 11+, 13+ and 16+ – 45 mins

Mr Fenton, the Headmaster, will start the meeting by showing a short video and will then ask for questions from all attendees.  Mrs Lawson, Assistant Head in charge of transition, and Mrs Watkins, Admissions Registrar, will also be available to answer questions.

Depending on whether you have visited us before, previously registered interest for your child or have a child at RGS already, the process for signing up to a virtual event, open morning or tour will be different.

If you already have a child at RGS or have previously applied, enquired or registered interest to RGS, you will already have an online admissions account and should Click here to sign into your account.  Once you have logged into your account, to add another child, click ‘Add New Applicant > Submit a New Enquiry’. This will allow you to add your new child to your online account where you can proceed with registering for an event, tour or submitting an application.

When registering to book a virtual event, select the ‘Open Event’ box on the booking page which will display all open events, including those that are virtual.

Spring 2022 dates are currently being arranged.

Individual tours – 30 mins

We are pleased to be able to offer safe individual tours.

For families who are interested in September 2023 entry and beyond, tours are now available to book for the Autumn term.

Please note, we request that all adult visitors complete a negative lateral flow test 24 hours before visiting.

Virtual open events – 1hr 45 mins

In addition to the live Q&As and 1-1 tours we will be running three or four more extensive virtual open events over the academic year. These virtual open events will follow a similar format to the live Q&As but will also include recorded speeches from the Headmaster, Assistant Head and students. There will be breakout rooms within the Q&A session to enable you to ask questions to various departments.
