Entry at 13+

For entry in September 2024

There are two routes for entry to Reigate Grammar School at 13+. Candidates may either sit the entrance examination whilst they are in Year 8 or sit the 13+ pre-test whilst they are in Year 6.

13+ entrance procedure September 2024 (for candidates who will be in Year 8 in September 2023)

For boys and girls who will be 13 years old on 1 September of the year of proposed entry sit an entrance examination in the November preceding the year of entry. Candidates will sit a computerised cognitive abilities test and an English paper. The computerised assessment assess verbal, non-verbal, quantitative and spatial reasoning. Practice papers are not available and we strongly advise against any kind of practice ahead of a CAT4 as this will alter the reliability of test scores. Please see links at the bottom of this page for a sample English paper.
