Lukas K at World Triathlon Leeds

Lukas K had a fabulous time at the World Triathlon, Leeds event last weekend. An early 8am dive into the lake for a crowded 300m swim was followed by a 400m uphill run to transition 1 (T1) which led onto a gear restricted 5k hilly bike ride. Then into T2 and out again for the toughest 2.5k run he has ever experienced. Lukas was one of the youngest finishers, coming in 31st out of 50 in his age group (13-14 year olds) in 32:04. He can;t wait to go again next year!

Following the event Lukas had the opportunity to explore Leeds and watch the pro races where he met a lot of the top athletes including Jonny Brownlee, Jessica Learmonth, and the eventual male winner Richard Murray.
