The Castle Summer 2026 is out now!
Welcome to the summer edition of The Castle Magazine!
As always, this term has flown by in a whirl of activity, jam-packed full of exciting activities such as Sports Day - a memorable day at Hartswood, where many school records were broken and new friendships were formed; Lower School Unplugged - an evening of acoustic music in the Recital Room, featuring many beautiful performances from a range of First form and Second Form students, and soon the lower school production of Fantastic Mr Fox - a mad , exciting production, telling the tale of Mr Fox and his family, who devise a hare-brained scheme to outwit the evil farmers, Boggis, Bunce and Bean.
Now the absolute chaos of exam season is finally over, the school feels completely different. For our Upper Sixth, those final papers marked the end of their entire secondary school journey. Well done to all students and good luck! A special shoutout must go to our lead designer, Isabelle S, who has worked tirelessly to make this magazine look incredible while navigating her own Upper Sixth exams. We are so proud of Isabelle and the whole year group - even if most of them survived seven years here without ever finding a pen that actually works! We wish them the absolute best as they head off to university, degree-apprenticeships and well-deserved gap years.
Looking through this issue, you can really see how much creativity and hard work goes into making ‘The Castle’ Magazine. A massive thank you to the whole team, and everyone else who wrote articles, designed, edited, or helped put this whole thing together. Have an amazing summer break and enjoy every minute of freedom!
