When your child joins Reigate Grammar School, you automatically become part of the Parents and Friends Association, a wonderful network of parents, carers and friends of the school who come together to support, celebrate and enhance life at RGS.

What does the PFA do?

The PFA exists to encourage a strong sense of community among families and staff, and to enrich student life through social events and fundraising. We work to bring people together and to support the school in ways that go beyond the classroom.

Our Events

We organise a range of events throughout the school year. Some for fun, others to raise funds, and all to bring the community together. Our calendar has included events such as the PFA Ball, a Christmas Fair, a Quiz Night, a Ceilidh, Lower School discos, new parents’ parties and Christmas tree sales, as well as our Nearly New Uniform sales (click here to find out more about our uniform sales).

We have a variety of events coming up:

  • Friday 7 November – Lower School Disco for students in the First and Second Forms.
  • Wednesday 19 November – Christmas Fair. Mark this date in your calendar and join us for a fabulous start to the festive season and kick off your Christmas shopping in style.
  • Saturday 6 December – Christmas tree collection (orders will be taken after half term).
  • Saturday 7 March – PFA Ball. More information to follow soon, but save the date for what promises to be a fabulous night out!

How do we support the school?

The funds we raise enable us to provide those ‘extra touches’ that make school life even better.

Over the last few years, we have funded sports equipment including basketball hoops, table tennis tables and judo mats. More recently, we have paid for electronic scoreboards for the Hartswood pitches and a fleet of drones.

Each year, in the Christmas half-term we fund the ice rink and Christmas trees for the school, and in the summer term we sponsor one of the rides at the Leavers' Day Funfair. Last summer, to celebrate RGS’s 350th anniversary, we funded the Open-Air Cinema event for the whole school.

Be involved

We are always looking for more people to be actively involved in the PFA. Being part of the team is a great way to meet other parents. Whether you would like to do a little or a lot, we would love to hear from you. Drop us a line at: [email protected]
