In the Sixth Form, our personalised approach ensures that every student feels seen, supported, and empowered as they take this important next step in their journey.
Personalised Support
Every Sixth Former is placed in a small tutor group, led by a teacher who is also a subject specialist in one of their A Level courses. This tutor stays with them throughout their two years in the Sixth Form, offering consistent academic and pastoral support. Together, they create an individualised Personal Development Plan tracking goals, reflecting on progress, and offering guidance for the future.
Academic Coaching
Our Academic Coaching Programme is a unique feature of Sixth Form life. Designed to support students with the demands of A Levels, it offers regular one-to-one or small group sessions focused on developing study habits, time management, revision strategies, and goal setting. Coaching helps students reflect, refocus and make the most of their strengths and it is available to all.
Coaching helped me feel in control of my studies. I wasn't just working harder, I was working smarter.

Open Conversations & Key Themes
Every half term, we explore key themes that matter to young adults from emotional resilience and leadership to connecting with global communities. These sessions, delivered through tutor time and workshops, are often enhanced by keynote lectures from inspirational external speakers.
We also offer access to a qualified, independent counsellor and psychotherapist, and students know they can turn to their tutors, the Sixth Form team, or the Wellbeing Team whenever they need a listening ear.
A Culture of Care
Our aim is for students not just to feel happy, but to understand their strengths, know their worth, and feel confident in who they are becoming. Sixth Form can be a time of transformation, and we are here for every step of that journey.
Whether a student needs help managing stress, wants to explore mindfulness, or simply needs space to talk, our culture is one of compassion, understanding and encouragement.
Community and Leadership
The Sixth Form plays a vital role in our school community. Activities such as barbecues, charity events, and the Leavers’ Ball create a strong community spirit.
Leadership opportunities abound, with students serving as prefects, committee members, sports captains and lead performers all create a unique bond once students reach this key milestone stage of their school life.
