Tailored Pathways and Support
Unlike many schools, we don’t start with a fixed timetable or a rigid set of subject blocks. Each year, we build our Sixth Form programme around our students designing a bespoke timetable that maximises choice and opportunity. Most students take three A Levels, but we also support a variety of pathways including BTECs, EPQ, and tailored 4 A Level combinations for those with specific goals in mind, such as Engineering or Natural Sciences at Oxford or Cambridge.
Alongside subject teaching, students benefit from small class sizes, expert teachers, and a personalised academic programme. Our approach combines high standards with high levels of care, helping students balance challenge with confidence.

Academic Clubs & Societies
Learning at RGS extends well beyond the curriculum. Sixth Formers lead and participate in a huge range of student-run clubs and societies that nurture curiosity, debate, and independent thought.
Open to all, regardless of A Level subject choices, these societies host speakers, run events, and connect students with university-level discussion and insight.
