On Saturday 18 October, talented RGS musicians took to the stage at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club for a dazzling morning of music-making — a remarkable milestone in our 350th anniversary year.

Featuring performances from Swing Band, Swing Band 2, Polyphony, Jazz Choir, Jazz Trio and the Parent Choir, the concert showcased the breadth of musical talent and enthusiasm that defines the RGS Music department. From soulful solos and stylish ensembles to lively big-band classics, our students and parent performers filled the famous Soho club with energy, flair and joy.

The event formed part of RGS’s Decade of Difference celebrations, which highlight the school’s commitment to creativity, wellbeing and community. Performing at Ronnie Scott’s offered our young musicians not only an extraordinary opportunity but also well-earned recognition for their dedication and passion for jazz.

Headmaster Mr Shaun Fenton said

Ronnie Scott’s is a stage where musical legends have performed — and now our students can proudly say they have, too.

Director of Performing Arts, Miss Joanna Korzinek, added

This concert represents both an extraordinary opportunity and a fitting recognition of our students’ commitment to jazz at RGS.

Congratulations to all the performers, staff and supporters who made the morning such a success — and thank you to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable celebration of music, talent and teamwork.
