Celebrating Our Global Community Through Art
As part of Reigate Grammar School’s 350th anniversary celebrations, we invite pupils from our partner schools — locally, nationally, and internationally — to take part in a special global art project.
Each school will receive blank postcards. Students are asked to create an artwork on the front that reflects the theme:
"Being part of a global community"
This could explore ideas such as:
- What it means to feel connected to others around the world
- Shared values, friendships, and cultural identity
- The beauty of diversity Landmarks, symbols, or imagery that represent your home
- How creativity links us together across borders
How to take part
- Create your artwork on the front of the postcard using any 2D medium (e.g., drawing, painting, collage, printmaking).
- On the back of the postcard, please include:
- Your name (first name only if preferred)
- Your school name
- Your town/country
- A short explanation of your artwork and how it relates to the theme
- Post the completed postcard to Art Dept, Reigate Grammar School, Reigate Rd, Reigate RH2 0QS, United Kingdom
- Deadline: 22 May 2026
What Will Happen Next
All postcards will become part of our RGS 350 Global Gallery, a celebratory exhibition showcasing the creativity and diversity of our worldwide community. Selected artworks will be displayed on our website and during our 350th anniversary events throughout the year.
We cannot wait to see your creativity and your interpretation of what it means to belong to a global community!
